Cameras in a pill

In the healthcare industry, pill-sized cameras using chip technology have helped 1.5 million people worldwide. Physicians can now visualize the small bowel, esophagus and colon with a small disposable capsule to diagnose disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. No preparation, no injections, no sedation, and no invasive treatment: as easy as swallowing a normal everyday pill. Due to our innovation to print chips finer we are part of this progress to better healthcare.

Unimaginable small pacemakers

Chip technology has revolutionized the pacemaker. The new pacemaker is less than one-tenth the size of traditional pacemakers. They also eliminate wires or ‘leads’ that connect traditional pacemakers to the heart. This should have a major impact in terms of reducing device-related infections as well as number of hospital visits. Our drive lets our machines print chips with an accuracy down to the nanometer. This gives the possibility to create even smaller electronical devices that contribute to a better live.

Tracking a turtle

Our innovations even impacts nature itself. For example, the progress in chip technology has driven the development of smaller and smarter GPS devices. GPS tracking devices are used for the preservation of sea turtles. 90% of their lives are spent in the sea, travelling thousands of miles, feeding, mating and doing whatever else a sea turtle does when no one is watching. This information about their behavior is vital to safeguard their future. Due to our technology we can make living better but also preserve the world to live in.
