Discover the most important tech company you've never heard of!
We make machines that make chips: the hearts of the devices that keep us informed, entertained and safe. These devices improve our quality of life and help tackle the world’s toughest problems.
ASML — located in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, just across the German border near Aachen — makes lithography systems, which are the machines needed to manufacture computer chips. Lithography involves exposing and chemically etching the wafers used to “print” a microchip’s tiny components. The more accurate the lithography process is, the smaller and more powerful the chip can be.
All of the world’s top chipmakers are our customers: Samsung, Intel and TSMC, for example. Every day, you use devices that contain chips made using our machines.
Discover the ASML Culture
ASML is headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, which is part of the Brainport Region. This region, sometimes called the “Silicon Valley of Europe,” sets itself apart by its unique culture of open innovation.
We build some of the most advanced machines in the world here, as well as the software to run them. To get the best ideas, we question everything with an open, curious mind. We are proud to work with some of the smartest and most creative people, who help us achieve these goals.
Dozens of diverse multidisciplinary teams work in parallel to meet challenging development schedules.
